A wider, single opening

Designed to match the width of the Slow ‘N Sear 2.0 charcoal basket, the single opening streamlines grate functionality while making it easier to access fuel in the basket.  Need to refill charcoal?  Our grate design completely covers the water reservoir while providing full access to the charcoal basket.  No more wet briquettes!

The hinged grate is removable!

Remove the hinged grate to open up the top of the charcoal basket for greater fuel or wood capacity.

Easily replace the hinged grate piece – no tools required – at any time when a complete grate is needed.

Love using the Cold Grate Technique but find it hard to spin the grate freely?  Our innovative, patent-pending design has placed the grate handles on top of the outer ring freeing the bottom of the ring from any obstruction as it passes over the grate tabs of the kettle.

More usable grate space

We’ve been as frustrated as you at the lack of usable grate space near the handles of many cooking grates.  We’ve added additional rails close to the handles adding many additional square inches of cooking surface.

Stainless steel construction

The obvious choice for a grate that will last for years.  Stainless steel won’t corrode, is easy to clean, and will stand up to the high-heat of the Slow ‘N Sear sear zone. Grate thickness is the perfect balance between long-lasting durability and flawless execution of the Cold Grate Technique.

Another excellent upgrade to my Weber kettle and a perfect partner for the Slow ‘N Sear!

The easy spin grate really comes into its own for Low ‘N Slow cooks and when following the reverse sear and cold grate techniques when cooking steaks. Of course, it’s also perfect for your normal cooks too. After purchase, the item was dispatched quickly and arrived to me Ireland within two days. It came very well packaged courtesy of the great team at Totally BBQ.

The grate is well built and came with instructions and a very handy cooking food temperature guide. On the first inspection, you may notice that the grate is not as heavy as your stock grate that came with your Weber. There is an important difference to note though. The stock grate is made from plated steel which is prone to chipping and rust after long term use. The Easy Spin Grate from Adrenaline BBQ Company and Totally BBQ is made from heavy-duty 304 stainless steel and is built to last. The Easy Spin is also not as heavy as my stock grate which makes it more manageable in my opinion.

When turning your stock grate 360 degrees during the cold grate technique you will notice it gets stuck on rotation, whereas this bad boy will rotate without getting stuck making things easier. My stock grate is the Gourmet BBQ System (GBS) grate with the removable centre piece. One thing that annoyed me with this grate apart from getting stuck when spinning was whenever you want to take it off and put it down somewhere the centre piece would always pop out leaving you dancing around your garden looking for a convenient place to put it down. I didn’t want to leave it flat on the ground for obvious reasons. You don’t have this hassle with the Easy Spin as you can take it off and hang it off the side of your BBQ by one of the handles. I know… first world BBQ problems eh! It is definitely a nice convenience though.

The clever large removable hinge leaves adding coals to a very long cook a dream. Hooray, my pulled pork won’t have bits of charcoal and ash dust stuck to it anymore! The bars even cover the water reservoir of the Slow ‘N Sear which means no lumps of charcoal will fall through and get stuck in it. If you don’t want the hinge to be removable you have the option of tightening it so it just opens and closes.

The easy spin also complements the recent new products from ABC such as the elevated grate. The elevated grate attaches to the easy spin in a way that still lets you fully rotate both together. Nice touch.

What will I do with my stock grate? Well, I’ve cleaned it up properly to prevent mould from growing and have stored it in the shed using the box that the Easy Spin came in. I’ll either purchase other gadgets that go along with the GBS grate system or I will sell it and put the money towards another purchase from the fantastic Totally BBQ/ Smokerig.co.uk.

Overall this is a GRATE purchase and an upgrade I am delighted with. You will be too!

Revolutionises, literally, use of the WMT when combined with the Slow N Sear, and even without it.
The 1/3 hinged lid even allows you to fill those little pesky little Weber baskets more easily, should you be using them, all you do is spin it around, and it really does move easily through 360 degrees.
With the Slow and Sear and this brilliant grate, life becomes so easy, especially for me with dexterity issues.
Now my WMT is my go to BBQ.
Have used it with the Drip N Griddle and oh what joy….the griddle even goes in the dishwasher ready for the next use.
Simply can’t fault either the design, construction and great delivery to away up here in the remote Glens of Antrim.
If I hadn’t discovered these products my kettle was heading for resale, now my smoker just might.
